Five-Day Outdoor Adventure Program for Adolescents

Led by proficient wilderness guides, the young participants engage in a five-day exploration of the remote high desert in Southern Utah, relying solely on the essentials they carry. Stepping away from all devices and external connections creates a crucial awakening, encouraging teens to focus on and own their everyday responsibilities, such as meal preparation, gear maintenance, and utilizing the desert's natural elements for sustenance.

In-Depth Two-Day Training Session for Parents

We support a collaborative therapeutic method that includes parents fully. During the youth's wilderness activities, parents stay in St. George and take part in a focused two-day 'Parenting Enhancement Program.' Directed by Daniel Sanderson, Ph.D., this involves thorough sessions on recognizing and changing negative family interactions. Most of the content is presented by Dr. Sanderson, a top expert in parenting therapy, training, and coaching. For over twenty years, he has facilitated extensive workshops for parents facing teen challenges. He created the 'Developmental Vacation (TM)' framework, providing parents with a fresh, unconventional way to interpret teen actions, which aids in clarifying their parenting roles and interrupting unproductive developmental patterns.
