The levels of Outpatient (Level 1) and Intensive Outpatient (Level 2) programs differ in their strength and length. Typically, participants in outpatient care engage in one individual meeting each week and 1-3 group gatherings per week, while those in intensive outpatient programs have a weekly one-on-one session with a therapist and participate in group activities 3-4 evenings weekly. Every program is crafted to assist people in building the necessary framework and resources to start their path to overcoming substance use issues. Ecker Center adopts a holistic strategy, applying research-supported therapeutic methods such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Seeking Safety, Matrix Model, Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Contingency Management. For individuals primarily struggling with mental health concerns, we manage their care by addressing co-occurring conditions at the same time. We are authorized to deliver services to those connected with the judicial systems in Cook, DuPage, Kane, and McHenry Counties. Our program for women also offers childcare support for those participating.
